As a means of recognizing important articles published in the South American Journal of Herpetology and an incentive to encourage authors to direct readers to the BioOne website to access their publications, the SBH awards the "Most Popular Article Award" to the corresponding authors of the three articles that were most accessed (defined as full-text visualizations and PDF downloads) on the BioOne website over the previous calendar year, as per the official access data from the annual BioOne Publisher Report. Please note that this award is not restricted to articles published in the previous calendar year, so all articles remain in the running, and it is possible to win more than once. The winners of the previous two years are announced during the opening ceremony of the biennial Brazilian Congress of Herpetology. 

 

 

Como forma de reconhecer artigos de importância publicados no South American Journal of Herpetology e de incentivar os autores a direcionarem os leitores ao site da BioOne para acessar suas publicações, a SBH concede o “Prêmio de Artigo Mais Popular” aos autores correspondentes dos três artigos mais acessados (definido como visualizações do texto completo e downloads de PDF) no site da BioOne durante o ano-calendário anterior, conforme os dados oficiais de acesso do Relatório Anual da BioOne. Ressalta-se que este prêmio não se restringe a artigos publicados no ano-calendário anterior, de modo que todos os artigos permanecem concorrendo e é possível vencer mais de uma vez. Os vencedores são anunciados durante a cerimônia de abertura do Congresso Brasileiro de Herpetologia, realizado bienalmente.
